Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Friday, June 2
Church

Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held at St. Francis de Sales every First Friday immediately following the 8:30 a.m. Mass, and continuing until 4 p.m. Eucharistic Adoration honors the special presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament is a profession of faith in the real bodily presence of Jesus. One of the best ways to look at prayer before the Blessed Sacrament is to see it as an extension of Holy Communion. Our souls are fed and our minds and wills are strengthened and given light, that we may go about the tasks of our daily lives. Please come and spend some time in prayer with the Lord. For more information, please call Denise Alianello at (847) 726-1307 or Lillian Shutty at (847) 682-4555.

Summer Scripture Study - Who Am I to Judge?

Beginning June 7 and ending August 2, 2017
Wednesdays, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Ministry Center

Do you find it difficult to talk about morality in today's culture? Am I being intolerant? How do we even mention morality in a world that no longer believes in truth? Am I judgmental?

In a culture in which individual preference has replaced morality, many find it difficult to speak the truth, afraid of the reactions they will receive if they say something is right or wrong. In his new DVD series, Dr. Edward Sri helps us to understand the love behind Catholic morality and equips us to engage relativism in our world. This study is ideal for any one, but could be especially relevant to high school and college students dealing with today's culture. Please plan on joining us for any or all of the 8 sessions. A helpful study guide for the series is available for $15.95 by ordering through the Ministry Center, 847-438-6622. Please order by May 24.
