Through Peer Ministry, juniors and seniors in high school who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation are called into a dynamic relationship with Christ and given the opportunity to minister to other teens while growing in their personal understanding of community and Christian leadership. Peer Ministry is a program in which teens minister to other teens. Members of the Peer Ministry Leadership Team are committed to serving others, developing strong leadership skills, growing in their personal faith, sharing their relationship with Christ with other teens and evangelizing in their high schools. The teens in this ministry exhibit exemplary leadership skills and always work to better serve Christ, each other and the community.

Peer Ministers maintain a strong presence at the 5 p.m. Sunday Life Teen Masses. Father David F. Ryan, Deacon Bob Arvidson and Deacon George Flaherty, as well as many others, have indicated that seeing the Peer Ministers at Mass is an inspiration to the whole Catholic faith community. Peer Ministers are encouraged to attend our 5 p.m. Sunday Masses as well as the Sunday Life Nights (6:15 to 8 p.m.). Of course, it is understood that schedules are busy and attendance every week is likely not possible. However, it is expected that Peer Ministers make a strong effort to attend scheduled Sunday evening activities so that they may serve as a positive example to other teens in the parish community.

Leading Castle Retreats
All Peer Ministers who are interested in leading a Castle Retreat must attend our mandatory Castle Leader training sessions.

This time together strengthens the teens' relationship with God as well as with each other. (Please note: Every Castle Leader does not do a witness talk. Decisions about the witness talks are made close to each of the retreats.)
