Back-to-School Program Begins this Weekend!
St. Francis de Sales will once again be collecting backpacks filled with school supplies to benefit underprivileged children in our community. Beginning the weekend of July 16-17, Back-to-School tags with a list of school supplies for each backpack will be available at Church. All school supplies should be placed in a new backpack and returned to Church by Sunday, July 31. Your gift means the world to a bright and deserving child eager for a proper education. Thank you for kind support and loving generosity!
Undie Sunday Weekend Coming Up!
A new school year brings new anticipation, new friends, new books, and new underwear and socks! Emmaus House, sponsor of Undie Sunday, will be collecting new, packaged underwear and socks in all sizes for those children and adults in our community who are in need. Look for the decorated receptacle in the Gathering Space on the weekends of July 16/17, and August 20/21. Please "Drop your Drawers" there or call (847) 814-0212 for details. The new underwear and socks will be distributed before school begins. Many thanks and blessings for your generous support!
We are in need of catechists for all grades and sessions in our Religious Education program. If you enjoy both children and your faith, we ask that you prayerfully consider being a part of this important ministry. Training, support, online classes, and ongoing encouragement are provided.
Please call the Religious Education Office at (847) 726-4850 to volunteer or to request further information. We cannot do it without you!
Volunteer at the Jubilee Garden and Make a Difference!
Help supply our St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and Emmaus House Community Dinner with fresh, organic vegetables by volunteering at our Jubilee Garden on Saturday mornings! Kids are welcome and can earn their credit hours here.
The garden meets every Saturday morning now through October - from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. weather-permitting. Even an hour of your time is greatly appreciated. No gardening experience necessary! The garden is located on the north side of Route 22, east of Quentin.
Thank you to everyone in the past who has donated their time and treasure. Come, help us celebrate our 18th year! Work off some of your stress and help feed hungry people. Any questions, please contact Janet Gozzola at (847) 540-0672 or email@example.com.
