Welcome to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Parish! Organized as a parish in 1949 by the Archdiocese of Chicago, St. Francis de Sales encompasses the communities of Lake Zurich, Deer Park, Hawthorn Woods, North Barrington, Kildeer and Long Grove. If you are new to the area or are returning to the practice of our Catholic faith, we welcome you to our parish.

Register for the Great Bible Adventure!

If you want a better understanding of our faith, and a deeper relationship with God, then consider joining us for The Bible Timeline Study, beginning this September. Choose from three sessions! You will go deep into each period of salvation history and discover the amazing story woven throughout all of Scripture. Using a timeline, you will learn the major people, places, and events of the Bible and see how together they form the foundation of our Catholic faith. More importantly, you will have a profound encounter with God in Scripture, and see how the Bible reveals His loving plan for your life. Click here for more details and to register online today!

Becoming Catholic

Evangelization is the responsibility of every Baptized Catholic. Each of us needs to spread the Good News. Will you help us?
Are you, or do you know, an adult who attends Mass regularly but who is not Catholic?
Are you, or do you know, an adult who is married to a Catholic but is not Catholic?
Are you, or do you know, an adult who is interested in becoming Catholic?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please complete a blue pew card and return it to the collection basket at Mass during the weekends of August 16th - September 21. Those names will receive a letter of invitation to come and inquire about Catholicism through the RCIA Ministry. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a process of evangelization that answers religious questions, teaches Catholic doctrine and welcomes adults into an active role in our parish life.

Any questions, please contact Jan or George Yingst at (847) 438-2042 or They look forward to hearing from you!
